Who you met at DigiGov

Thank you for visiting our pod at DigiGov Expo 2025 Government Village. We really enjoyed speaking with you and sharing the latest work from the National Digital Twin Programme.

This page provides an overview of the demonstrations we presented, details of the team you met, and links to further resources should you wish to explore or stay in contact with us.

We will also be hosting an NDTP Industry Day on Wednesday 22 October 2025, where we will provide an update on the National Digital Twin Programme, share progress so far and outline the roadmap to 2030. The event will feature case studies and demonstrators, contributions from partners such as the National Energy System Operator, and provide opportunities for discussion. Reserve your ticket here.

Demonstrations at
DigiGov Expo 2025

During the event, we showcased three demonstrators developed through the National Digital Twin Programme. These short videos provide a recap of what we share on the day. For more detail, please follow the links to the dedicated pages.

IRIS

IRIS is a digital tool that supports data-driven decisions about retrofitting homes. It brings together energy performance and housing data for over 25 million domestic properties across England and Wales, helping policymakers and local authorities identify where energy efficiency improvements are most needed.

Integration Architecture

The Integration Architecture (IA) is the data-sharing infrastructure developed by the National Digital Twin Programme. It is now being advanced as Government-backed open-source project in collaboration with colleagues from NESO. The IA provides a secure, federated framework that allows organisations to exchange data while retaining control of their own information.

At DigiGov Expo 2025, we launched a new interactive walkthrough, that provides a visual guide for how IA Nodes connect into a Node Net, how data flows securely across the system, and how governance is applied through Management and Control Nodes. This tool also highlights what has been achieved so far and the next steps towards a national-scale, interoperable data-sharing ecosystem.
